Few days ago I got an annual park access pass for Highland Village. This gives you access to Pilot Knoll and Copperas parks on Lake Lewisville.

Highland Village residents pay $40 for this annual pass. Non-residents pay $100. So 60% more. Of course I understand non-residents will pay more, they are not paying the property taxes that's going to the city's parks department. Which by the way I visited their headquarters in Highland Village it looks very well funded.

Now, Tower Bay in Lewisville charges residents $40 a year for their annual pass. Non-residents pay $65. Only $65?

I think I'm going to run for City council and a part of my platform is going to be reciprocal boat ramp fees and park access fees. If Highland Village is going to charge us $100 we're going to charge them $125 unless they drop Lville non-residents passes down to the reciprocal $65 that we charge them.

We have been taking advantage of for too long! Tower Bay is way more popular with non-residents than pilot Knoll is I guarantee that... They don't have the cards.

I think this is a pretty sound part of my agenda for my city council run what do y'all think?

Are both municipalities in the same city?

Is one park larger than the other as the larger one will require more maintenance….especially if it has camping and RV sites.

Does one park have more ramps than the other?

Is the number of filthy porta potties equal?

Sounds like both of these places are on Lake Lewisville and as jetski wakeboat season has started; I shall not be going to either of them until November.

No sh**. He's fired.

He does not share my vision of a more prosperous Lewisville... One that's treated fairly by our neighbors.

And another topic, I see Lewisville FD shopping at the Flower Mound Kroger. That ends. Those are Lewisville tax dollars paying sales taxes in Flower Mound? I don't think so bruh. Our money stays here. We have plenty of grocery stores.

Let’s look at Article 1 Section 10 Clause 2 of the US Constitution.

….and we will ignore the grammatical error of utilizing it’s instead of its.

Please stay in your lane.
I get both passes and don't live in Lewisville.
Towerbay ramp is awesome. The gate system is suspect . It works about half the time.
Lake Park has to keep pricing down so they can continue to support the 7000 soccer players that infest it all summer. That fence they put up around the swimming area is beautiful too. Honestly, Lewisville is doing there best to make Lewisville lake suck.
Copperas has the giant swimming area. Soccer has become way to popular lately
It also has a wonderful location where wake boats can pound the ramp all summer long.
Pilot knoll is a gem. We need to keep all those Denton people out of there

I understand your point of view. I do. However I need to look out for the best interest of my constituents.

Definitely way less riffraff at the Highland Village spots...

You clearly have better options. If you move, you could get better constituents.
I once had the same constituents you have now, but I moved on to different constituents.
My new constituents have different needs. Some may say they are needier.

I'll have to get elected first and then start raking in some of those bribes in order to afford to make your constituents my new constituents.

And you are correct your constituents are very needy... If a HV tree drops a little branch there's someone there raking it up within 3 minutes.

Your law enforcement is also very bored. Had a very interesting interaction with one of them. It wasn't negative it was just a very bizarre conversation. Young black Officer. I only mention that because maybe you know him. Very small police department and I doubt they have too many young black dudes.

But that's another story for another time.

HV Walmart is one of the worst Walmarts I’ve ever been in for fishing gear.

I go to Coastal or Sportsman's Warehouse for fishing stuff. Walmart keeps everything including $7 lures behind locked glass, which adds 20 minutes to the trip, if you can find anyone to unlock it at all. I don't know how they even sell their fishing stuff.
