Takes some patience to see it but between 8:25 and 8:33 one of the two Fledlings just walks up to the edge of the nest and jumps.

Camera is in a fixed position but You can tell from the 2nd Eagle he rises up and circles around before leaving for another place to land.

They are about the size of a Red Tail Hawk already and the Adults will continue to feed them for a long time before they are on there on.

The female adult Eagle catches much more food than the male and he tends to eat most of what he catches before sharing.

You could also see its shadow on the ground on the left side of the bridge after it took flight.


I’m watching the ones out here in Big Bear off and on. They’re getting their feathers pretty good right now. Nature is pretty amazing.

Probably the way I felt the first time as a new driving teen and driving to Dallas from little ol Abilene.

It was 8:30 for yesterday, sorry.

This morning the Fledgling flies back in and they are both in the nest, if you back up the time at the bottom of the video.

Parents don’t feed them before they fly for a day, so they are hungry this morning.

lol, i've watched eagle live cams for years and have yet to see the actual first jump

Second Fledgling jumped at 7:18am this moning.
