Had a small one in my garage and it would get in my boat and eat the plastic baits (he would leave me 'evidence' of what he was doing). Tried scarring him out but he would just come back in a couple of days.

I have a lot of 'stuff' in my garage for him to hide behind and would not come out with any kind of light on so I rigged up the faintest of a light, grabbed my bb gun and set in my boat for a few hours in the dark until he finally started rustling around. I sent many copper goodies his way before I finally ended his shnanigans.

Next morning a found a dead opossum, blood all over my shelves and many an item with holes that I did not want. I guess I should have sighted in that old bb gun before I went all Elmer Fudd on him.

Why just about 4 nights ago I was woken around 0200 to a hen that would not stop squawking. It was when the cold front came thru and I went out and there was a slick tail in the pen. He had already killed one. I was in a hurry when I ran out so I was only armed with a small pin light, a broken shovel, and in my whitey tighties.

I’m sure it would have made an awesome video or scene from a horror movie.

best bet is to get a live trap... otherwise you will be chasing it everywhere but outside..

Well, I got home and it’s gone.
Thor Fabio the varmint hunter reported that he thoroughly searched the garage, and it is gone.
Just leaving the garage door open with a can of tuna at the end of the driveway seemed to have worked.
* allegedly as I was not there.

This would also solve the “overly handsome animal control officer” issue.

Those things are waaaay too much work and I’m thoroughly enjoying my children at University with an empty nest.
I love and miss them; but watching sports again almost every day of the week has been so great.

We'll if she fed him and his is gone then he will be bringing his buddies.
