It's been said it was a friend of the person who he had communicated. It could be a SC angler.

More likely North Carolina where the next event is being held.

I think it should be anonymous- people are less likely to snitch if they think they’ll get heat from fan(atics)…

Wouldn't it be funny if it was Matt Arey or Canterbury. The two he roomed with on tour... Both Carolina guys I believe.

I think it should be anonymous- people are less likely to snitch if they think they’ll get heat from fan(atics)… It often seems that those who feel less confident or secure are the ones who prefer anonymity when reporting others. There's a belief that if you're going to accuse someone of something that could impact their life or career, you should stand by it and take responsibility for your actions by acknowledging it publicly. In the context of bass fishing, it's hard to understand what they're so afraid of are they worried that a rogue fan might sabotage their gear or something?

Yep, agreed. Filing a protest should require your name to be published as well.

And by golly, the right to confront your accuser is covered by the 6th amendment. It's downright un-American to anonymously accuse someone of something. The right to confront your accuser, guaranteed by the Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

According to the podcaster who first broke this, Scott told him the 2 protesters' names. Thus I guess he is able to "confront his accuser". He told the names to at least "get ur fish on". It was not specified, but implied one protestor would want to stay anonymous for other reasons (sponsorship) and the other protestor was a buddy of Feider.
So I guess to BASS the anon label is loose. We get to throw darts all over.
I will guess Robertson who recently did a show with Scott on Kentucky and one of the Canadian brothers sponsored by BPS
He also said he called one of them to get their take and was told to "kick stones"

As said above, it’s been said to have been Robertson and Scott gave some of Robertsons gps coords to the mystery person on the phone, after they had fished together on KY lake.

I don’t get why it matters and why people are persecuting the protestors and bass.
If the protestors received info that there was a possible infraction he was obligated to report it.
Once he reported it, BASS was obligated to investigate it.
That’s all that happened.
Scott is the one that took the next steps and according to his own video the protestors received info had legs. So are we going to persecute the messenger and give the one trying to skate the rules a free pass?
I can’t receive info on Lake A but can you give me info on Lake B that fishes just like Lake A (wink wink). Scott solicited info that would give him a competitive advantage. It’s simple as that.

It’s a bit different- the accuser isn’t a judge and jury, an angler has ample opportunity to take an easy polygraph to show they are innocent.

This isn’t action taken by the government, this is a private matter- one they all signed up and agreed to beforehand. No one is holding a gun to heads and telling you to fish the elites…

Say you are sponsored by skeeter or Garmin, but lower on the totem pole than the accused- now you are stuck between a rock and a hard place, you snitch and you might lose a sponsor…
