I had visited Pueblo/Canon City/ Manitou Springs/Colorado Springs a couple of times before l met my wife. I'm talking 15 yrs ago or so. Decided to visit again with my wife about 8 yrs ago. Dope smoking was everywhere...you couldn't turn without running into it. Bums laying on the sidewalks in Manitou Springs & on the banks of Fountain Creek that runs through Soda Springs park. Trash everywhere. Told my wife that we were never going back.

Pueblo ranks in the middle of the pack in most best places to live metrics. Diversity is the only metric where it is above average.

Nobody who’s ever been there would say something that absolutely stupid.

I’d rather walk through acres home with a burning cross at three am than wander through the Pueblo barrio again.

I was in the area last year, but just stopped to get gas on our way to Divide, CO. My cousins live in West Pueblo, but since my great aunt passed, I have no reason to see them anymore. She was a great woman, but died 7 years ago and my cousins still speak to my father, so, yeah, I'm not going to see them.

I remember stopping for fast food in Pueblo, some place I’d only eat as your in a hurry to get to your destination, and it was right off the highway. Dude got the order mixed up in the drive thru-
, came in the lobby while we were ordering and about went worldstar on the cashier- knew I was in the wrong place…
