LT Means Light & Tough! C is Compact! This 5K Looks & Feels Like a 4K! Really! One of the BEST spinning Reels for under $100 today! Available in sizes 1-6K. (1K, 2K, 2.5K, 3K, 4K, 5K, & 6K).

Just received my Daiwa Exceler LT5000D-C & it looks & feels like a 4000 due to it's smaller statue & lighter weight. Still took over 280yd of 14lb Trilene monofilament when i spooled it using my Fish-on Spooler by Sportsman Innovations (link at bottom). Has Air Bail, Air Rotor, ATD Drag, & Daiwa's Tournament Drag System. What i just know is when i palm it it feels light & form fitting.

Model - EXELT5000D-C.

Bearings- 5bb & 1rb.

Line per Crank- 34.5in.

Mono Capacity- 14lb/280yd or 20lb/180yd.

J-Braid Capacity- 30lb/230yd or 40lb/160yd.

Weight- 8.1oz. (Same as the 4K)

Max Drag- 26.4lbs (Not bad).

Comes w/1yr Manufacturers Warranty.

Now these aren't water tight as they don't have Daiwa's Mag Seal Technology built in like the Fuego's have. So i wouldn't suggest going to pounding wave areas with salt spray flying all around you. More for fresh water to estuary areas & average calmer salt water locations. My main usage will be estuary & reef shoreline areas that have no pounding surf.
