None of my regular partners could make it so I went solo. Started off rough as my trolling motor pull handle broke before I left the driveway this morning. Had to use vice grips as a replacement. Launched and beached the boat dropped the Poles. Parked truck came back and boat is floating in the middle of the ramp. Concerned stares from fellow fishermen trying to launch. I get my remote out of the truck, raise poles boat floats to dock, everything continues as normal. Starting to think this may not be my day. Go to first spot, blown out by whitecaps, as is the second and I realize all my good spots are blown out with a NW wind. Pull over to the first cove I see with no boats and no wind. Tossing the black buzz bait, ENORMOUS BLOW UP, set the hook, buzzer flies over my head. 100% sure it’s not my day, fish left a wake the size of a VW. Go to next spot catch 5 pounder flipping, fun, but no help. I’ve decided to just fish as obviously the fishing gods are not digging me today. Go to a grass bed and proceed to catch 16 fish without one that could be weighed. Closest I could get was 1.91 on my scales. Had fun, caught fish, not a total wash. Congrats to all those winners, we would all love to hear how you did it.

My son and i fished it, i never had a bite, he caught a 2.16 on a jig at 7:30 and weighed in the first hour for $800 then came back to same area ,he caught 2 more slot fish then we never caught another fish the rest of the day, and we moved to 3 different areas of the lake. Water temp had dropped from last Sat 5-7 degrees.

Fished Friday before the weather hit and it was tough. Waited the weather out on Saturday then went in the afternoon and developed a little something. Scrapped the whole game plan Saturday night and decided to fish an entirely different part of the lake than we were working on. Struggled for a bit then caught a really nice fish that measured 16 on one side then 16.00000001 on the other. Made the decision to throw it back rather than risk a DQ and ticket. Caught a 9 that was a slot right after that. Moved back to what we were doing Saturday and caught a couple of more the rest of the day but nothing worth talking about. Had fun. Conditions were miserable. Look forward to do it again next year. BassChamps does a great job running this event.

Weather sucked. Caught about 25. About 20 of those were from one little spot about twice the size of my boat. Probably 7or 8 slots and the rest were under 1.5 lbs

Caught 2 all day, one dink, one 17" slot.
Had a blowup on frog, and a chatter bait strike.

We caught about 50. Several 7s and an 8 that was 23 3/4. Which always sucks. Held a money under most of the day til we had a 2nd to run in. I got bumped and wife cashed a check last hour.
Unbelievable day on the water considering the conditions. I know another friend on here was right next to us and caught about the same numbers and same size.

For a few of them. I only had 5 baits in my boat. Then we switched.

She did put on a clinic. And I damn sure netted a lot of fish for her Sunday for sure. roflmao
