The 2 hour final episode came out yesterday on Paramount +. What did you think of it? I thought it was Ok and entertaining. Definitely not what I would have predicted though. The first season premiered on December 18, 2022. It took 2 and 1/2 years and 15 episodes for Spencer to finally get back home. The whole series just seemed to be dragged out too long.

I agree that it did drag out but I enjoyed it.

I'm becoming less of a Taylor Sheridan fan as time passes. I thought season 1 of 1923 was fairly boring tot begin with. Maybe if he focused on less shows. The ones in production would be good all the way through. But he has a tendency to fall flat on his projects on a regular basis. Yellowstone jumped the shark in season 4. The one exception is Lioness. I thought season 2 was way better than season 1
But he does incorporate some great music. So he has that goings for him

It tied up a lot of loose ends. And it joins or ties-in the Yellowstone series with the birth of John II.
But so much loss and heartbreak, it gets a little depressing at times. My wife and I get it - it helps the viewer understand in the Yellowstone series why so much effort is given to protect the ranch because so much had been sacrificed over the years to get to that point.
But give the home team something to cheer about every so often would be nice.

Could have done without all the bizarre Whitfield chit in the home. A little more believable even paced ending would be nice instead of just a mass shootout in one show. And it would even nicer not to kill off all the young blond lead actresses for once in the prequels.

Season 2 of 1923 is terrible. We liked season one better than Yellowstone actually.
