I would think Skeeter boats will be facing a price increase due to tariffs on the 150 hp and up Yamaha engines. All of the high horse power engines are made in Japan, Fance, and Brazil. Mercury on the other hand manufacture that same horse power range in the US. Mercury 40 to 60 hp are manufactured in China and lower than 40 are rebranded Tahatsus. Price increases there but would not impact the pleasure and bass boat market.

Only matters if people keep paying the high price. If they don’t then they will have to adjust to the consumer I would imagine or sales will drop

China has been doing this for years. One example I know of is, the same Harley-Davidson Roadglide motorcycle that is 28K at the dealership in Texas, is equal to 48K+ in a Chinese Harley-Davidson dealership. That's steep.

I wonder how much a lower for a SHO will be after all this. Last time I checked, it was about 10k down and another 5 years of monthly payments to get one replaced.

Its a figure of speech, my last car was paid with a cashiers check, technically the bank wrote it.

I still write checks. We even write checks for our tournament pay outs. It's not a lost art by any means.

Well I’ve bought 3 new boats the past 10 years walked in a wrote check every time- what are you going to do- walk in with a suitcase full of cash? This ain’t a drug deal in the movies…😆

Cash is easier.

I had a cashiers check for the boat I just bought. Turned into a fiasco and a two week back n forth to the point I almost said screw it.
