Everyone complains but i havent seen anyone offer another plan. how about leave everything alone we have been in a good place as long as i can remember It’s been a long time false high- I don’t know why any American thinks we should pay high tariffs to other countries and we not charge them a tariff in return.

Back in January I moved 98% of my retirement holdings into cash....I'm no economist or all that smart about the stock market...but I knew trump was going to F up the market and potentially F up the economy. And NO I don't like him or his BS....never have. I'm retiring in 60 days and this a**hole is messing up my plans with his [censored]. Will we recover...sure. How long will be the question and what will all the side effects be from this turmoil.
And NO I didn't vote for harris...I voted third party this time. You did good Ok, I'll ask a stupid question..... if you moved to 98 percent cash in January how are your plans getting messed up. Am I missing something here.

Millions don't share you're view. The government had decimated small towns all over the country. Now we have degree factories producing kids with debt, a worthless degree for many and a bleak outlook for jobs and housing. i see what you are inferring to she received an $8K & change grant today from USDA her degree will make a huge difference because her training and capabilities are in the upper 99%

I'm not sure how all this will work out, but it appears Trump and his team did not fully understood the negative impact this would have on markets. I suspect if this does not get turned around over the next 60-90 days, Congress will take legislative action and overturn his tariffs and block any further moves by him.
He is literally playing with peoples lives and their financial security on a bet that tariffs and alienating other countries verbally to get sound bites is going to right the ship. This will potentially cost us the mid terms and the dems will start wreaking havoc with every investigation possible.
I suspect we are in for a rough few more weeks, especially after the Fed said they are not lowering rates.

I suspect we are in for a rough few more weeks, especially after the Fed said they are not lowering rates. You don’t think the US deserves fair trade deals? Yes, but his approach seems to be punitive in substance. The US and China are the largest players in the world's economy. Smaller countries really have no means to produce on the scale that US/China can, so tariffs are really their way of leveling the playing field for their economy. I think a combination of targeted tariffs on specific things and/or creating investment opportunities along with legislation could do what is needed to protect certain segments. This holistic approach aimed at every country is a mistake.
