As for purchasing a firearm. I have that big star in the corner of my DL. Buying private sales for two reasons. No tax and it being nobodies business about what I buy.

I know several Lawyers in Texas that have LTCs.

Family law? That's par for the course.

You? Going back and forth to HEB. Minding your own business until you can't. A LTC isn't gonna to matter.

You need to reevaluate your situation.

It's usually in their carry on like a back pack.

My neighbor's son was flying few months ago and forget his gun was in his backpack, Only got a ticket and was able to have father come up to DFW and get his gun so he didn't have to loose it, and he went on with his flight.

A lot of people fail to acknowledge or honor those responsibilities.

I’m all for it. Voting, religion and speech should be the same. They come with responsibilities and a class with a license and fee should be required by the government before you can exercise those rights.

Nope

I remember the Lubys shooting in Killeen in 1991 like it was last week. I was still in the service stationed at Randolph at the time. I also remember Ann Richards, the governor then, vetoed the LTC bill. It took George Bush the next governor to sign off on LTC. But don’t forget, Ms. Hupp lost her parents to that murderous maniac and because of those horrific circumstances became a gun rights advocate and legislator and helped wth the movement for LTC.

I recently found out the cancel carry license expires. Mine expired in 2022. I guess I need to take another class. I like the reciprocity allowed by many other states.

The "class" here was a bit of a joke, but the 2nd part was you had to qualify at the range. Hit a 11.5 X 8 piece of paper from 20 feet, 15 times out of 20 shots. You could use any pistol you wanted. You had to take a few left handed shots. Anyway what surprised me was that there were a couple of people that didn't know how to load their pistols. I don't know if they qualified, I hit my shots and was out of there, they were still there and the class people were helping them out.

I grew up with firearms. We lived out in the county. Followed by much more life experience after that.

If you're uncomfortable enough to need training. You be better if you do. Take more then one class just for practice. Indoor ranges sometimes have a class you can get in. More geared towards the fun of it.

A trip to the range is a yoga class with explosions. I enjoy the sport of target shooting more then room clearing drills.

Every time I've taken one of those classes, there were people in it that had never shot a handgun before. I've shot next to an older women that needed me to pull the slide back for her.

Well hopefully you didn’t- you need to shoot a weapon you can handle on your own.

This was the class when I took it in Victoria. 4 people.
The two women on the left were sisters. They NEVER quit yakking at each other, non stop hood rat banter.

Class is over, to the range we go.
We go through our 50 rounds, the instructor looks at the target from the sister in the black shirt. ZERO holes in the target. Zero. A couple at the very bottom of the paper.

Sister in white, "what the heck is wrong with you"?
"I didn't want to kill him, he might have a family" Dead serious.
"I just wanted to shoot him in the legs"

Nobody could hold it together, we're all just rolling laughing. The instructor said look if you don't hit the target, you don't get your license. Ok, I can do it, so he let her go another round.

Back to the original post.

I wondered as well.

I kept seeing short video with a man stating "Get your concealed license completely online before the time expires," etc.

How does it work?

You sign up, but once you are finished, you need to drive to a range and shoot a few rounds?

Links for the online class?
I have not seen the ad in a while.

...?
