Triton's days were numbered the day Earl Bentz got tired of Johnny Morris's BS, walked out the door, and demanded he take his name off the Triton boat. Earl isn’t some secret sauce- the fit/finish is a lot better on the new Tritons.

Caymus boats I fear has priced themselves out of the market. Their boats look good, but they sit really low. I walked through a few at the Classic and me being vertically challenged had issues seeing over the dash, they stood taller on the trailers, and really looked like a battle ship more than a fishing boat.

It will be interesting to see who lands on their feet in the next few months. Most every bass boat builder is building bay, some offshore, fish and ski, and pontoon boats and the reasoning behind that I'm sure is their percentage of market the bass boat DOESN'T have. I was looking at some numbers about a month ago and bass boats are a small single digit portion of the total fishing boat market according to what I saw. I'm sure that can be attributed to what they cost versus what used to be their target market; the blue collar guy, and they priced him out a long time ago. You still have the tin rigs that are more affordable and honestly if it came down to it I'd saddle up in a tin rig and roll in a heart beat. I've owned one that was a 17 footer and had it on some of the roughest water I've ever fished and frankly it handled it as good or better that the 20 foot fiberglass rig I have now and cost a ton less to use and own and I caught way more fish out of it per hours on the water than anything I've owned.
