We went to Crappie Fest for the first time and we had so much fun.
We got to meet a few tff members, SK, Stratos Caster and Eric over from the crappie section and Little wheel over from the catfish section. We also had some of his delicious ice cream. Everyone was really nice.
After a long day we cleaned up and you guest it, we went fishing. Fork has been on my bucket list. We caught crappie and bluegill and a little bass the fist day (evening). We fished till it started getting dark.





Sunday morning we headed off to Lake Tawakani. We lost 2 big somethings. Both our lines got popped what ever it was stole our jigs. We retied , and I caught a little catfish.



Tawakani has a healthy crop of cormorants like ship loads!

I have never seen so many of them!
After a couple of hours at Tawakani we went back to Fork. To the same spot. We noticed these monnow looking fish with a white spot on the head. Leo put on a brown and gold jig. He caught a nice bass a small and a bluegill.




And I caught the lunker of the day




We had a great time in E Texas. Everything is sooo green, very pretty.
Monday morning we packed up and headed home.
We made one more stop at the Guadalupe. We fished under the bridge for about 45 minutes. We walked toward the trailer park and saw some gillz by the bank and under shade of trees. They were munching on whatever it was that was falling from the trees. We started with 1/16, no luck so we went down to a 1/32. That's what they wanted.







We had a great time. I would definitely go back.

Awesome...When you were on the Guadalupe under the bridge...u were a few minutes from my house. If I knew u guys were coming would have stopped by for a meet & greet.

We will definitely be going back Vogey. We need to take the boat though.

It was just a quick stop we wanted to get home kinda early. I want to go back, but take the boat.

No need to tow that boat 450 miles, just let me know the next time you head this way and I'll gladly take you guys out....

On Tawakoni, you may have been having your lines broken by hybrid stripers. That lake has a bunch of them. Nice report and some nice fish guys.
