other kid is just crazy. Sad part is coaches pretty much can't do anything
about the kids or parents behavior.

And these track meets there is a serious lack of coaches and school administrators at them.
Due to coaches having to stay and teach a class or whatever since there is a shortage of substitute
teachers in area's or admins. telling they have to stay at school for what ever reason. At track practice you'll have 3-5 coaches and only 2 end up at the meets, it's all pretty sad.
You couldn't pay me enough to coach or teach in HS these days. I know there are several on here
that do and much respect to those guys.

you could volunteer ??? I did . I coached youth baseball , including all-stars and a travel ball and training program for 11 years . Never made a dime doing it . Nine of my travel ball kids ( out of 15 ) ended up college scholarships . 4 of them ended up in either law enforcement , Fish and Game , or firefighters .
I can't tell you how many baseball fields I ended up mowing , fixing up and doing irrigation systems .
I still have some of my players walk up to me outa nowhere , give me a hug and say Hi coach --most are now 35 years old

My thoughts,
Parents sent their kids to school for a track meet.
Actually with a twin bother. For stupid reason he gets murdered..
Now twin brother holds him in death.
Firefighters wonder ( what else could I do)
Nurses doctors ( what else can I do)
Class mates and bystanders will never forget what they saw.
Police arrest a kid, wondering what happened?
Kids parents think I sent him school now he is dead.
Kids parents think how did my kid kill another kid?

Think about how many lives will never be the same,,,,

The death penalty may or may not stop the next murderer, but it will make sure one murderer never does it again.

These kids that murder another kid aren’t afraid of the consequences. Think about that, what deterrent is there these days? These gangstas aren’t afraid of death, they know their demise is death or prison and they could give two chits. That’s the sad part.

Probably what he deserves but more than likely will be charged with First Degree, not Capital Murder. Being that this happened in Collin County versus Dallas or Tarrant County I am in hopes he gets life without possibility of parole. He was looking for a fight if not why bring a knife to a school event. Just a crystal clear example of a kid raised wrong and a kid raised right.

These type events have be normalized, minimized, and even glorified with TV, movies, video games, social media, and music. But somehow we miss sending the message of the consequences and the aftermath. And in a few weeks or even a few days those of us who are not directly effected will move on with our lives. And the victims and those directly effected will be left to deal with the hand they were dealt.

About 30 years ago, a classmate at Lewisville High killed another student. I was told he was paroled recently.

I'm guessing "clear bag" policy is gonna come up for not just spectators.

Pretty insane event, spent 20+ years in public schools / athletics - I've seen a few kids that were capable of it but only resulted in a fist fight.

From my understanding, both kids had a bright future. I'm not sure what's going on with our society. Is it in the food, shots, or effects of too much technology???

Sad deal for both families.

Knowing what is going on is quite simple. The problem is we have chosen this path and now we don’t like the results of said path. When you removed God you remove the family unit. Which was ordained and set up by God. What we witness should not be a surprise. It is going to get worse. If that shocks you, you have your answer. Lack of knowledge. We know. Yet we continue on.

Jeremiah 7:28 KJV

But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

Galatians 4 : 16

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
