Should be the new FL strain world record, I believe his 15 was the old record. That just changed last week. The japanese 22 lb from "09 was retroactively identified as a Florida. The Bass After Dark podcast announced it on last week's show.

As much as I like how the client caught it, got recognition, etc. I wished that would have been put back in the lake. She will never be able to produce a giant again.

While this may be true depending on whether they spawn her or not, this fish has already been producing her genetics for probably 10 years, literally hundreds of thousands of eggs. And then those offspring that survived have done the same, and then their offspring, etc.

Not a fan of putting her in an aquarium. Taking the 20th largest bass in Texas history (while full of eggs) out of its natural environment to be placed in a glass cage. Looking real good TPWD. I guess they feel pressure to keep that Toyota sponsorship money flowing.

The Bass After Dark podcast announced it on last week's show. Cool deal, I missed that and it sure didn’t make any headlines. So now, Perry is allegedly the #1 Northern strain and the Biwa is the #1 FL strain?

Idiot probably isn’t even from that area, catches a 16, and instead of putting it back decides to donate it for people to look at. What a damn shame. Tourists and guides not from that area are ruining that lake. Glad I live in East Texas now.

You’d need a cast iron skillet the size of a washtub to blacken that sucker! Fillets would be bigger than a porterhouse steak!

I can't help but wonder what a fish like that could be worth.
