Seems kinda weird when I'm like 20 ft away and some dude is standing there holding the door open for another dude. Not sure I completely understand the issue. Was it the door to a bathroom stall at a rest stop?

I almost don't care how far away they are, I'll hold the door. If I'm in too big of a hurry to offer someone basic courtesy, my priorities are off base. I take pride in holding the door, for all, including those who may identify as Muslim.

I'll hold the door open for everyone if they are a reasonable distance from entering or exiting the door. What I really love is women that let the door fly no matter how close I am to the door.

I do it all the time. It's done to me all the time..
Two dudes arriving at the same 7/11 door. The gentleman that touches the door first, holds it open for the second guy.
If there's a woman in the situation. It doesn't matter which guy grabs the door. The woman goes first. Then it's any order of male next.
This is what we call being a polite grown man.

How does a liberal define who is and isn’t a woman to know who to hold doors open for?
Just one of life’s greatest mysteries for them I guess.

Just one of life’s greatest mysteries for them I guess. I don't know about them but it's the smell. No matter how much a guy tries to impersonate a woman. Doing a good job or a horrible job. One thing they can't mask.....is the hanging nad smell. That male born hormone funk.

I don't normally dress up like a woman, but I do feel like regular showers and such have helped me escape onion crotch. Maybe it creeps up on me, but I hope it is not a regular occurrence

As you get older, it does happen more often, and it's just another version of a "handshake" between strangers.

Then when you see them. You'll start questioning humanity.

This is what we call being a polite grown man. I agree with this ^^^^^ but what if the guy is 20' away as has been discussed in this thread? Do you stand at the door to open it for him? Arriving at a door simultaneously is one thing, but waiting at a door to hold it open for another able bodied dude is a different level of subservience.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

I'm not waiting on you and holding the door. If you're on the concrete, 5-10feet away and walking with a purpose. Sure, Ill hold the door.

Is it ever OK for me to yell up at someone "hold that door". I may start doing this to people when I am over 20 foot away. I need to start an experiment to see how uncomfortable I can make people with manners.

Nothing wrong with being nice. If more people tried it we would be in a better place. Add in saying Sir and Ma'am when speaking to people, say thank you more etc. Being a proper and decent person doesn't have to be hard.

Lololol, don't do that. But if you do, video it. (For your protection). Because you're gonna call that out to some dude who just caught his old lady in bed with someone that wasn't him. You never know what kind of day a fellow man is having. Show some compassion for being male.
