Well, let’s just say the Sandbass run in the last three days has really hit that point. I don’t care if it’s bluebird skies no clouds post front who cares those fish are going to eat I shredded a Clouser that my buddy tied and he had to move to Ohio right before the run started. I’ve sent him pictures. I haven’t been on here in a while and I’ve had a real long stretch recently been a while posting but all good I’m alive haha and I’ve been on the fish. I’m back again but the Sandbass in North Texas are definitely there. Get out there and get them. Hook line J-Moe need to get up here get this rain right big cousin will be swimming up soon. Few striper would be nice Capt. Fantastic day the other day I’m sure you saw those pics now you didn’t need to wait on shade last two days. I really wish I had a tenkara rod last two days. What’s the method???? Can you land fly in the water. Haha. My buddy that had a heart attack in December got to go today first time back on Fish. He drowned some minnows and I think he caught four or five fish on the same minnow. It didn’t matter if they even had a head left they chewed all the hair off my buddies first clouser I got a new one tied on for tomorrow:) thanks Jamie! I’ll post a few pics

I am not a big fan of sand bass but my stepson wanted to keep some because I wore his arms out! Fish tacos on the Blackstone :-) my buddy holding up our two strings he needed to catch those fish just as bad as I did we hammered them today 2-4:30 middle of the day and sifted through the small ones and still no female females yet but very big males!!

That better been a while haha

I mean, we should all do it all the time but if you are taking a boat up, the river from the lakes are taking a boat anywhere don’t forget you have to now wear your Killswitch at all times if you have a Killswitch. Just words for the wise good way to stay safe!

We get this rain it will be really silly odd year for sure. Caught fish and swam in February this year. No waders ever but they slowed down with that cold snap on again now I’m afraid as late as it sandbass will be done when the water comes down. Plus note Striper just getting going:)

My buddy was conventional one of the few times I’ve seen it just as good as the fly!!! He just called every one males females should be there right after the rain. The females we caught a month ago were the biggest I’ve seen in this watershed in ten years.

Always a pleasure to fish with you Robert. Good stories, lots of laughs and plenty of fish caught. I've learned long ago, if you hang out with Robert Hunter, your going to be in to fish. If you have ever fished with Robert, you know he likes to go a hundred miles and hour. If he's not catching fish he is contemplating what exactly to do about it, and in a hurry. He's usually successful at this. I, on the other hand, am there to catch a few fish and, if I don't, that's OK to. I don't fret over it too much, I have other reasons for being out there. Robert even mentioned on this trip that one of the things he loved about our group is that everyone could do there own thing and everyone else was OK with it. So, Robert's side of this story is catching copious amounts of fish. Here is my side of the same story.

Now, Robert and I are like 5 year olds watching a cork get pulled under for the first time. The rest of the world gets blocked out. That's why I say a special prayer for Robert when he heads into the mountains. To keep him safe from getting eaten by a bear
