The only thing worse than a porta potty in the wintertime is a porta potty in the summertime.

Dig around concrete deep enough to where you can put chain around concrete....run water hose for a bit to make sure ground is saturated in hole....attach chain to a jack and it should come out....much easier if you have old school bumper jack Good idea. I have a floor jack….I could rig that up to work. I've dug and jacked posts from old fences this exact way as well as another basketball goal at an old house. Old floor jack works but a farm jack is best.

If it's not too big, dig around it and get it to where you can move it in the hole with a pry bar. Figure a way to get a chain around it. Pull it out with the truck. Bust the concrete off the pole with a sledge (son did it for me because he's all that and a bag a chips). put the concrete back in hole. cover it up with the dirt. My son will be home this weekend. I may hand him a sledge hammer and tell him to get to work 🤣🤣 You could give that young man one of those little rock hammers like in Shawshank Redemption and he would have it out in an hour.

I’ll probably give him some rest. He just finished up spring football and he’s pretty beat up. At least that what he tells me…..he’s probably just saying that so I won’t put his ace to work.

I've got a tractor that will lift 2600 lbs. at the 3 point hitch, and a heavy logging chain. If you can dig around it about 6", wrap the chain around it and pull it. Or the tire or a log and a chain pulled with your truck. Oh wait, you have a toyota. Never mind then.

Looks like he'll have plenty of time in the next couple of weeks to get this done.

I cut one off as close to concrete as I could then beat the [censored] out of the concrete with a sledge hammer until its was about 4 inches below surface then cut the steel post off further, beat the [censored] out of the sharp steel remaining , filled the hole with dirt and called it good.

I have used my tractor front loader and 3 point to do a lot of work and getting a chain to lock tight enough around anything is a bitch.
