Its hard to beat a good fun day on the water with no stress, a lot of fish catches and not being on a time clock. I didn't know how happy fishing could make me until I put tournaments on the back burner in a major way. Wished I had of learned this sooner. Trust me Im as mad at them as ever and always on the water before daylight when I fish but when I put the boat on the water its just me against the fish and its brought me more joy and its made me 10x a better fishermen.

Our labor costs are way more than any other country in the world and we expect to be a player when we have to charge way more for our products? Japan is getting rich off of us by making baits for cheap and selling them to us for way way more than it cost them to make them . Their mark up has got to be 1000% or more and we just keep buying them.

The fishing on PK was just fine until last year due to the bloom we had. It has nothing to do with pressure or FFS. This year it has improved but still has a way to get back to where it was.

Tournaments and bass fishing in general are still going strong around here. Lots of people fishing for white bass, walleye and trout too. I don't see any tail-off at all. Being retired I don't fish Saturdays once the water is warm because it is just too crowded.

Not just local participation that’s down… yall see the numbers for Basschamps on LBJ and TXTT on Toledo Bend? Absolutely horrible. If Rayburn and TBend aren’t pulling 200+ boats there’s a problem.

Lakes too crowded, then there are enough people fishing to make it worth while to fish tournaments, I duuno a time tournament fishing was a way to make money for alot of people, just has never been that way. Course i also understand that is even worse now.

Where were you yesterday Pete? I fished with your old buddy zeb in another one. Always running your mouth about me. Him and I laugh about it. Were you always this grumpy and negative when you used to be mayor too?

Someone stated how tourneys took the fun out of fishing for them, I stopped tourney fishing 20 years ago because of this and don't miss it a bit.
