Good Evening. I am looking to purchase the new Xplore 12 to go on the front of my Triton. I have 3 needs with this purchase. 1. I need to be able to operate it. I have had a helix in the past and I did pretty well with it. 2. I want to be able to find more defined underwater structure. 3. I need to be able to see it. Yes Im not as young as I used to be. Just looking for some opinions on those who have purchased them. I need a little more encouragement before I spend $2500. Thank you

It has a touch screen and is only available in a Side Imaging model. The menu system is VERY different than a Helix. Even the SOLIX G3 and APEX have their menu changed to match the Xplore.

Depends on what generation of Helix you had in the past. If you had G3N/G4N SI models, the image quality is almost as good. The standard transducer is 1 1/2" shorter than the MSI+ transducer (has a CMSI+) transducer so a MSI+ (standard for a SOLIX and APEX) transducer will improve the image quality slightly.

The price point is the same as the Helix 9, 10, and 12 G4N MSI+ units.

Helix 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 10 G3, Helix 15 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G4N,
Helix 8 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 12 G3, MEGA 360, MEGA LIVE TL , MEGA LIVE 2, Xplore 10

We have a few of them left in stock if you are interested. We also have one setup on display if you wanted guidance on how to use it. Super easy to use in my opinion with new software.
