I have been kicking the idea around about getting one to save putting daily miles on my diesel. Just want a run around town truck and one for short weekend trips. Seriously considering the AWD model in XL with the tow package. Don't care about electronics, gadgets or technology. Drove one a few months ago and it seemed pretty decent but you can only tell so much from a short drive. Anybody here got one and want to share the pros and cons?

And before anyone gets stupid, Yes I know they are small. Yes I know they won't haul much or tow much. Yes I know they won't have all the creature comforts. But if I need to haul or tow anything I still have my diesel. I'm just talking about a truck to run around in.

After the cost of the vehicle and insurance i cannot see any savings over just driving your regular truck. Get one if you want a second vehicle. But can't justify any savings by not driving your original truck.

You do understand that replacing a diesel costs over $80K right? You only get so many miles on a vehicle. I'd like to keep the diesel running another 20 years but that isn't going to happen if it is a daily driver. You just got stupid.

I personally do not own one but have seen some on the road. Nice truck. I think it will fit your needs. thumb

Flags...Don't know about the Mavericks, but I have had 2 Rangers over the past 5 years & absolutely love them. I get 17.2 mpg pulling the boat in the newer 6 cyl.. The 1st one was a 4 cylinder & the one I just got recently is a 6. Really not as much difference in power as I thought there would be....
