The two restaurants will merge into one, they both suck but it will be interesting to see how the to go parking fiasco will pan out

I understand what they think they can do and why they would want to. I just don't see it working out very well.

I’ve been to a few decent I-hops, popular when traveling with the kids. Haven’t been to Applebees in many years, when all u can eat riblets were a thing

Perfect. Applebees need pancakes on the menu, IHOP needs alcohol. They can’t properly clean up sticky stuff already

maybe the new ownership will realize the old adage "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" applies to parking spaces....i.e.when your parking lot is full,it's better to let a customer park in one of three "to go" spaces rather than making the customer leave and gamble on needing all of the three "to go" spaces later on...especially at 8:00 pm..

Both seems to cook straight off the Sysco truck. Yeah, Applebee's most valuable asset is their microwave. It seriously does most of the cooking (at least at the airports - one of the managers is my client). 90% of their junk is frozen. Like TexDawg the last time I was there was when the all you could eat riblet things was a thing...about 20 years ago. IHOP surprisingly has a decent burger. A guy I used to work with likes to go there, so that's usually where we'll meet to eat. Not my favorite, but its food is slightly better than Applebee's. I want to see WaffleHouse and ElFenix team up next!

Parking lots are never full, especially at an Applebees, you just didn’t want to walk far….😂

Applebee’s by me has been hanging on by a thread for a few years. Now a Longhorns is going up right next to it so that will be the nail in the coffin. Our IHOP is only busy on Friday and Saturday nights from 2-4am serving the drunk crowd and Sunday morning church crowd. Any other time it’s dead.
