Was paddling in late yesterday evening when I saw this one surface.. it went back down as I got closer but surfaced again and swam in a circle next to me.. I grabbed it by its tail and pulled it in… fish looked healthy, but running low on energy.

Thought someone might have caught it earlier in the day but no sign of any hook marks in mouth or anywhere else.. upon closer inspection I see a bone sticking out … where the red spot is inside left, of mouth..

the bone I pulled out… didn’t look like any fish bone I had ever seen…ended up letting it go as I didn’t have any way to fizz it if that was the problem

The fish was 22 inches, bigger than any of the fish I caught today.. roflmao

Ate something with sharp bones that probably did some internal damage. She’ll probably be fine recovering in the cooler end of March water temps.
