Would you rather live in the mountains with really cold in the winter or Coastal with really warm, salted air year round?

Coastal area for me between the two-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Biscuits don’t cook right in the mountains and the wimmins aren’t brown.

That's a tough choice. Lived in the Florida panhandle for 3 years and could not stand the humidity. Grew up in the cold northeast. Not a fan of that either. Where I live now is acceptable to me.

It is hard, now that my wife is gone, trying to figure out where to land

Mountain....I don't care for the beach. I can go to nice lakes with clear water and sandy shores.
Have you ever stood in the woods with everything covered in snow. That is the true sound of silence. And the air is so crisp it feels so good breathing it in.

Mountains, I guess, but I've never tried living on a warm coast.

I have and your right, but winters are brutal

Mountains for me. I don’t like the cold but the scenery will even it out for me.

Neither. I would rather be somewhere in Texas with a moderate climate; 4 seasons; on a lake and golf course and several lakes in area. Kinda sounds like East Texas but She Who Must be Obeyed loves it here on the edge of the Hill Country.

With or without a sea-capable boat? With a boat the coast, without one, the mountains.

I love the high country, but I'm addicted to salt water. Nothing beats throwing flies at fat fish in skinny water. Salt water. If I could afford it I'd have my place here and a place in the Wyoming / Montana / Idaho area, not too far from the Tetons. I have some great memories there. But I'm not rich, and I really love living where I am now.
