Mike just completed a 10' x 20' pergola patio cover for me and I couldn't be happier! I like spending time outside and with this cover I can do it in rain or shine. He certainly knows his stuff and gave me some good direction and suggestions. I am an old so I haven't mastered posting pictures so I'm hoping he sees this and adds some for me. If you are considering having something like this done you need not look any further. He is a great guy and does a great job! Thanks Mike!

Steve it was a pleasure working for you and thank you for the kind words. Like I said while you were sitting under your pergola, I like building structures people will use. Here are a few pics of the pergola as it was going up and finished of with polygal roofing.

I want you to send pics once you get it decorated with all your potted plants and hanging baskets. You have an incredible green thumb and awesome mini arboretum on your back porch. As a landscaper I was jealous. Thank you also for the plants and tree starters.

Wow! That's awesome. I'll be reaching out as we need a new pergola put up and extension over part of our pool.

Mike's a good dude.
He installed a French drain for me several years ago and he and his guys were fantastic.

This was a busy week for us as we also built this small pergola, patio and landscaped my clients retaining wall.

I'm already enjoying it! Broke it in with a cigar and a peach tea this evening.

I can see that as the base point of relaxing. Needs some lanterns and a dog. Maybe an archery target. That's something you gotta play by ear.

How much that cost? (Don't answer, it's rude if you do.)

The 10x12 Belgard patio cost $24/sqft and the pergola $42/sqft. Polygal roofing was $11/sqft.

Steve's was a little cheaper because it takes us just as long to build a 200sqft pergola vs. a 120sqft pergola.

Right? It's the supplies.

It takes 1.5 days to build both but the cost of the cedar is only slightly more with the larger pergola. That means the square footage cost are lower with a larger pergola.

There are other factors like size of cedar beams and post that cause the price per square foot to vary. Also I'm starting to build more of a patio cover rather than a pergola. These have a T&G ceiling and the option for can lights.
