Driving to Colorado and back next week.

Overnighting in Amarillo & Snyder TX.

Any suggestions on where to grab a bite in either town?

NOT at The Big Texan.

Worst meal I had in a long time. Last time, was the Last Time for me.

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

Last time I was in Amarillo, we ate at The Hoffbrau. At the time, it was a pretty good steak. Been a while though.

We like Saltgrass in Amarillo. Rosas Cafe for breakfast.

We were in Canyon, Texas for a few days this week while we went to Palo Duro Canyon and Caprock Canyon State Park. We ate Pizza at Labella Pizza, and it was awesome. They have one in Amarillo also. Joe`s Taco was Ok for Mexican food. Great chips and hot sauce and very cold draft beer.

Nothing but a tourist trap, no local ever suggests going there except for the breakfast buffet. The best steaks are Saltgrass Grass, Outback or Tx. Roadhouse. If you wanna try a neat place try Coyote Bluff at 2417 S. Grand St. It's small so be on the lookout. Many good Tex- Mex places.

Wife and I stopped at the Big Texan when we were RVing west. We ordered different steaks, and I canโ€™t remember who had what, but my steak was very good. She still gripes about the steak she had.

We also had burgers at Coyote Bluff on a different trip, and that was a heck of a burger.
