Excellent choice. This is not a read for a casual reader.

Bobby: No.
Hank : Well, there's really no wrong way to do it.

Readers Digest Back to Basics. (The hard cover not the soft)
This book has everything. Including a recipe for tawed leather using alum. By the books instructions. I've, 'tawed' four deer hides. The gardening is fantastic. Animal care too. How to choose an egg laying chicken.
It's one book I've kept with me. I'm working on my second copy because I lost the first book. Can't go without it being on the shelf.

I read all the Travis McGee books by John McDonald and still go back and read one again occasionally. I also read and reread some of the Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett books with Phillip Marlow and Sam Spade.

Army surplus has a bunch of reading.
Remember the, "Anarchist Cookbook" (1971). Any Army surplus worth their dog tag making skills had a copy on the shelf. Next to the Ranger's navigation on the right with improvised explosives on the left.
Too bad every single experiment listed in the Anarchist Cookbook left out the finishing touch. The last step to make it work. The book was a pre internet troll. Heck, nothing will sell more books then the local news complaining about it. Even though it's gay and retarded.
It's still a neat book to read. It really made people clutch their pearls. The author is or was a brilliant book peddler.

I read a lot of books so it's kind of like asking who's your favorite band. Hard to choose. Just re-read 13 Hours: the Secret Soldiers of Benhazi. It still pizzes me off the second time through. Hemingway is great. I love history books. The Ghost Soldiers about the Americans/Phillipinos who rescued our and their soldiers during WWII. The Battle of Midway is awesome. Grisham and Koontz are good for long plane rides.
