Just a heads up.. If you are headed here this weekend you might want to rethink it..

At the state park, five inches of rain have fallen in the last 24 hours. Two inches here in Zapata.

Launching is out of the question down at the state park, as the road to launch point is impassible.

Maybe Saturday if the sun comes out tomorrow with a bit of wind. It dries fast but not overnight..

Time to put those Gumbo Mudders back on..

Glad to see the rain! PTL!

What falcon needs is for someone to disable the discharge on the mexico side. Back in the late 90's it was never closed.

3" total here at the shop A/O this AM.

Bout seven to eight inches around the dam. The valley got hammered twice. Bad flooding in some places..

They shouldn't need any water for a while.. But with IBWC, WTF knows..

Don't think anybody will launch at state park today.. Lake up nine inches and on a slow rise.. Might make the county ramp useable if your sack is hairy..

How much of a rise would you expect from these rains?

So between now and Jan did they release enough water to bring the lake down 2 more feet?

Yes, we lost about two feet in the last six weeks.

We should catch about another six inches or so in the next few days..
