In 2024 the program had 18 largemouth turned in 13 pounds or greater. This year it has only been 11. Assuming another doesn't get turned in before it ends in a few days thats a significant 39 percent decrease from the previous year. Is SAL growing bigger bass in Texas? Whats your explanation?

Or it could be the spawn is running later this year than usual as water temps have taken significantly longer to warm up. Turns out water temp and moon cycles don't always align with the share lunker calendar!

Believe there has been only 7 so far for 2025. That number is off their website as of today.

Well they all don't get turned in, one of my customers knows of 2 14lbers caught out of falcon last week that TPWD didn't get. Maybe we will see pics but I doubt it.

The fact is that bass fishing and our lakes have been ran over for so long. the bass fish are so pressured. since covi 19 hit our lakes have been over run by human activity.Like everything else lake have their limit and a lot of our lakes are showing it and with FFS the bass have been under more pressure

Just curious what the numbers of SAL's would look like without FFS?

Numbers will go back up once the live sonar target lock firmware updates are released.
