Haven't really thought about it, but since we moved to a small town in E. Tennessee I no longer see panhandlers... Another plus to living out in the sticks... Dan

There's a guy in Arlington that dances on different street corners along Cooper. Not a panhandler, but is on the spectrum. He does it to make people happy. Ended up getting free tickets to the Taylor Swift concert a while back.
There's a lady that is on the corner of Campus I-20 in Fort Worth that I've seen get dropped off and then she rides her little scooter to the corner and waits. Lady makes bank and only shows up a couple of times a month now. I've seen that guy in Arlington. He never stops moving!

One of the best I've seen was near Round Rock. While waiting at the intersection I observed a man folding up his sign and gathering his belonging and at the same time observed a lady headed his location unfolding her sign. My 1st thought was....Shift change!

Last year I arrived early to a customer visit in the Shreveport area. The gas station down the street makes the best fried chicken liver around so I went there for an early morning snack. Where the sidewalk met the grass 20 feet from the front door there was a sleeping mat , a dog and all of a hobos stuff arranged in a neat little pile. After I got my livers, I went outside and eat them on the hood of my car. When I finally saw the hobo who owned the dog, I offered the last of my chicken livers but he refused. I drove on to the customer and got signed in. Then, the guy from the gas station walked in and went to his office. Once he got his coffee he came out to see me. It turns out, the guy I offered my livers to was not the hobo with the dog, but the guy I drove 2 hours to meet. I wanted to jump into a deep hole. He did ask me later why I offered him leftover chicken livers and I just told him I could finish them and hated to throw them away.
It was awkward.

There is a one legged girl/Woman that works the Walmart parking lots around here, Her sign says "on my last leg anything helps", I have seen her in Odessa Midland and San Angelo. She really gets around.

And the runner up. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/XW25j3q/kung-Fu.jpg) If the sign is entertaining, I'll give a little something. The way I look at it, if it makes me laugh, it's worth a dollar or two.

Saw a guy a few days ago with a sign that read:
"Not homeless, I just enjoy being outdoors."

She really gets around. About 10 years or so ago, on the road to the airport in Austin, there was a good looking tall blonde gal with a sign like that. Her leg was cut off about 4-5" above the knee.
