Wife and I are going to fork mid April. Need opinions on where stay and places to eat. Narrowed staying to polks landing and lake fork resort. Comments please/opinions yea or near. Also recommend any eating places close proximity. Mucho appreciated

Lake Fork Marina is another good spot.

Best Western in Emory, several places to eat as well.

Any thoughts Pros or Cons staying pope’s landing please

Lake Fork Marina would be my top choice. But Popes is nice as well.

I like Mustang Resort or Fishermans Cove

We've stayed at all of the above. My favorite is the Burnin Stump. Nice to have covered parking for your boat. Not fancy, but clean rooms and a cold a/c. That's about all I'm looking for.

ton of places to stay lots of air bnb's if you want to get like a whole house or just a tiny cabin. that is usually what i do
but all the motels should have rooms. I cant think of any place you should stay away from most any place you choose will be good.

Great place, rent a cabin. You're 8 minutes from Emroy and restaurants, No need to stay in Emory. Stay right there on the water in a cabin @ Pope's.

Popes is fine! Is the mexican place there still open or did it close? I haven't spent much time at Fork this year.

There's E B Barbecue on 17 and Veronas Italian food and pizza at 17 and 155.

There's also a restaurant at Lake Fork Marina on 17, great pies.

Correction; E B smoke house B B Q is now Jonnys Lake House serving excellent Mexican food, give them a try, they are on Hwy 17 as well!
