I told my wife I’m too old for attic work anymore.

Hired some guys to install 1/2” plywood strips across the length of the attic and overhead lighting.

So walking up there is much easier than it used to be.

I'm the opposite. I can't tell how many pin holes are in my skull from roofing nail punctures. I finally bought a hard hat for this very reason.

I did that back in the 70's. Put one leg through the ceiling just about where my wife was watching television. She was more pissed about being covered in dirt and insulation from the attic than she was about the hole in the ceiling. Fortunately, I'm pretty good at patching drywall.
