Off topic but similar. Mike Bucca…the bull shad swimbait guy. He got busted locally a long time ago getting fish shocked up from the DNR shock boat and hanging his swimbaits in the mouth for pics. I’m “shocked” how big his brand has gotten and I’ll never support him because of that.

ha yeah, thats a wild story, didn't his brand get bought up by a private equity?

No clue. He’s a douche though.

Ergo, that's how they can charge the money to hunt, that they do. That fence cost money.

Deer should not be farmed, CWD has been an unfortunate consequence.

If all you have to complain about is how they handle INVASIVE SPECIES like hydrilla perhaps a fella should turn his attention towards the 2 federal entities that listed it as an invasive species to begin with. You’re never going to have a leg to stand on until that goes away.

Yeah I was surprised to see one on the Classic guys this week on Alvarado, do wonder how they did.

Purtis Creek State Park is a good example. It was once the gem of the lake system. We used to fish there every weekend. It was not uncommon to catch double digit bass there. They removed the hydrilla and the bass fishing has never been the same. The effect of having no grass for cover of newly spawned fry totally ruined the fishing and still hasn’t recovered. Huge mistake!

I don't care if hydrilla is invasive or not, it should be controlled on Texas lakes, not eradicated. I have seen no evidence that TPWD knows how to control anything.

It can be done at the local county tax office IF CAD has someone trained to do boat registration. Most don't but a few do.

Give us a list of county appraisal districts that actually have someone that will do boat registration, I bet you could count them on one hand for the entire state.

They outsource and third party much of the large scale applications and deployments. No biologist in good conscience would carry out these actions in the manner I have seen performed.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Don't know about anywhere else, but Zapata County offices do it..
