Does anyone know in the area of Cedar Creek who who sells a paper map of Cedar Creek?

I want a paper map so I can lay it out and study the lake to learn it.

Also any good fishing stores around the lake or in the area?

Thanks

fdf

I bought one years ago from a company called D.L. Miller & Associates address 1201 N. Watson Rd. #238, Arlington, TX 76006. Phone 817-640-1381. Don't know if they still sell them but you can call or try looking them up on-line. The map does not have true depths marked but it does have couture lines, creek channel lines and old roadbeds so you can see where the couture lines are closer together meaning a steeper drop off.

I've got several other Fishing Hot Spots maps (just not Cedar Creek) and they are good maps and waterproof.

I've was surprised at the level of inventory for bass fishing in the Malakoff Bait and Tackle store. I needed a few flukes for some cold water deadsticking and those guys had colors I didn't even know existed!

I'm sure they have paper maps as well.

If you fish offshore check out Dennis Christian's posts on the hybrid section. He has an old map in his signature. Many of those structures load up with largemouth bass in the summer. I've picked off some pigs over the years hybrid fishing with 6XD's. Especially on the structures with old stumps...

Thanks to all for the information and help, it is appreciated.

I know nothing about hybrids, they are going to be on my interest list after seeing the pictures here and the posts about the number caught and released.

Does the water ever clear up there, it seems dirty compared to the clarity on Lake Palestine.

Again thanks,

fdf

I can't recall the name of the government agency; perhaps someone here can help with it. They used to print topographical maps, and many of them were printed prior to some of these impoundments that we fish being inundated. I used to have one on Lake Conroe, but I tossed it when I moved. If those are still available (and I have no idea if they are) they could be a treasure trove of information. They showed contours, creeks, roads, structures, and could really shorten the learning curve.
