The big fish have been hard to find during this hot weather in my little Jon Boat so the wife and I have been Perch Jerkin'. Both days were fished from about 7 PM till dark. Between the 2 of us we caught about 60 fish. 1 14" Catfish, 3 good size Buffaloes and a couple baby Bass were part of the 60.
The fish were caught using night crawlers on #8 crickett hooks on the bottom, near the rocks.
Not many game fish to speak of but it sure beats sitting at home.

Not many game fish to speak of but it sure beats sitting at home. Indeed it does sir, indeed it does. In my opinion that is what ultralight gear was made for.

i have fished for sandbass out of a little 10 foot boat i have but have never had much luck i might try to set out jug lines next time
