Quick report on Lake Dunlap. Myself and fishing buddy Jeff put our Kayaks in at the main ramp. Fished the lower end of the lake and made it up to several coves that in the past were holding nice fish. We fished the middle of the week from 7:30am till 11:00am. Boat traffic was picking up due to spring break. Between myself and Jeff we managed 15 eating size sunfish in the 7 to 8 inch range which included Bluegill, Redbreast, and Redear. Caught some smaller ones also. We also caught a few bass that were in the 12 to 15 inch range. The fish were healthy and full of fight. All were released. Fish were caught on a variety of spinning lures. Rattle Traps, Silver in color and soft plastics, Chartreuse in color got the best results on the bass. Gulp Alive Leches and Minnows, got good results on the sunfish. I think this year there should be some nice Bluegill, Redbreast, and Redear in the 10 inch range or larger being caught. I think next year there will be bigger bass caught. Just my opinion. It was nice fishing Dunlap again.

Nice report Curtis. I plan on fishing some docks very soon. I have no idea how it's going to be. "You don't know, if you don't go." A old fishing buddy of mine would always say. Glad you are fishing Dunlap again.
