Running cables to my Starlink dish through the attic. I’m prancing like a gazelle in between the rafters. I tripped on a cable and fell through the ceiling. My days of balancing on rafters might be over after this one.

If I even just look at the ceiling trap door stair case thing leading into the attic, the hole in the ceiling from the OP's picture AND WORSE is exactly what shoots through my mind

I did that once back in the 70s. That was the day I learned that I’m forever incapable of taping and floating drywall…..

Fell through the attic into the garage and onto my sister's best friend's boyfriend when I was 15. Very fortunate he was there as he broke my fall. I almost broke his back. Glad you're okay. Had a client this week that broke her back when she fell through the attic about 10 years ago; that and 2 head on collisions it's amazing she can walk as well as she can.
