Is it just me or does it look like there aren't many people at the Classic weigh-in?

I think it hurt the weigh attendances with the expo being miles away .

I was at the weigh in today. It was not full but thats to be expected being day 2. Tomorrow I think they said they were expecting 18K.

I think parking is keeping people from attending the weigh in. You can expect to pay about $25 for parking at the expo and then another $35 for the weigh in. Last time you had the Expo and weigh in within walking distance of each other. Other than the parking I think they have done a tremendous job of putting this one together this year. I almost didnt go because the Covid Classic was pretty underwhelming but it was damn good this time around.

Are you talking about the last time they were here in 2021? The expo crowd on Saturday 2021 was F'ing insane, haven't heard how it its this year. Why did they move the Expo location this year?

It was pretty entertaining. Mercer kept it moving along as quickly as he could. There was an accident on the highway that made all the boats late.

Maybe this has something to do with crowd size
Parking at Dickie’s Arena for Bassmaster Classic will be $30 (+$5 fees) on-site or pre-pay at $25 (+$5 fees). Pre-purchase tickets

That's a bunchbof tree hugging hippie [censored]. I don't even like paying 10$ to launch at certain lakes. I can go fishing 3 times on 50$ which would pay for gas alone. I attended one of the weigh ins last time the Classic fished RR, and don't remember paying that much. But I did have to pay for parking, that always stings.

There is a free shuttle from the Expo to Dickies. Out on 9th near the tailgate...

I saw that video after I made this post..... All the weigh-ins I have gone in recent years were pretty packed. I was surprised to see so many empty seats on the lower level. And no I'm not trying to say the FFS has anything to do with it.

The expo is just a bigger draw for most people. Last year year I went to the expo but had zero desire to go sit in an arena and it was 2 blocks from the expo.

The weigh-in a drive away from the Expo isn’t going to be good for weigh-in attendance. Given a chance to only attend one I would 100% go to the Expo. +$35 for parking after paying $20 isn’t going to help.

Its time for them to go catch weigh release now that everything is streamed live, we have the technology. I'm no tree hugger but is there really any reason to be parading this big fish around anymore other than sticking to tradition? The expo is the main draw, you can still have a winners ceremony @ the Expo.

I parked for free this mornin g in the Farrington Field lot , walked 10 minutes to the Bus Shuttle at Dickies that drops off at the EXPO downtown, walked around for 3 hours in the EXPO, caught the shuttle back to Dickies and walked to my truck. never spent a dime all day except for 2 spools of Invizx that got me a free spool of braid and a hat.

Pretty dang fun day.

The weigh in was empty, even tonight. No way can they claim it was record setting or even good. ronnie’s light show all three days were an embarrassment for BASS. Much like the coverage. Worst one in history.

I willing to bet a beer there was 8000 there. What does the Classic weigh in typically bring?

What is capacity of arena? Way over half was empty every weigh in I watched.

Looks like 10,000 - 14,000 capacity? If so you made a 50/50 bet. Or fair.

Time for the technology youngsters to admit that starring at fish is Boring! This FFS thing has really taken its toll on attendance, I see it in our tournaments, not a whole lotta ppl have 7g to spend on that ,so what's the point of even showing up!

i have only been to one, the Conroe classic. I thought that was small, they don't fill the whole arena, but it seemed more packed than what I experienced at Conroe on day 1 and 2, I did not attend day 3. But Conroe was less than 50% full in the arena. Seems like some are finally realizing how small the market is, and/or have never paid attention before.

If you don't like FFS don't use it but after this weekend its not going away .

Sounds like he pulled a number out of his @zz

I guess he was looking to buy a top of the line 16" model. Found this price on Bassfishing Electronics LLC. OUCH!

I dont think FFS is hurting the attendances as much as the basstrakk. When you know how they placed why go to weigh-in?

This... Before BassTrakk I usually watched the weigh ins... Now I check BassTrakk and unless it's an angler I follow I rarely watch... But in today's world if they didn't have BassTrakk people would have a cow not knowing... Dan
