Wouldn’t it be impossible to know which book is most shoplifted? How could something like that possibly be tracked with anything resembling accuracy?

I would have thought the Farmers Almanac was the most stolen book. I can't count how many times I've seen people grab them while walking out of a store thinking they are free.

Inventory tracking and shrink. Ordered this many...sold this many...this many still in inventory. The difference = stolen.

The same book is the most stolen, the most sold and the most given away for free.
