Is lake Tyler any good? Friend of mine just moved out there and we’re fishing it this weekend for the first time.

I just fished there for two days on my way up to Fork. First time out there. I loved it!! Didn’t catch any giants but caught a few in the 3-5lb range. Quite a few 1-2 pounders. It’s a really nice lake out there and easy to get around.

It was better when it had grass in it. Since then, I have done the best fishing the docks.
Just be sure and don't fish or run on plane through the canal that connects East and West Lake Tyler. The game wardens are pretty strict from what I remember.
