Who’s makings the best these day .

I have a new minnow shaking rod I need to protect.

I have many of the “Chinese finger trap” type, but don’t like picking hooks out, are the neoprene ones better?

Thanks for your opinions

I just got some of the 6S neoprene ones - game changer. Hooks don't get snagged and they feel like they will protect the rod guides much better than the flimsy plastic ones.

I bought some last spring from them. I think it was a Memorial Day sale. They were 50% with buy 5 get 2 free so it worked out to like $7 each. Bought like 15 and with free ones got 21. Way better then the weaved ones.

I love the Neoprene's that is all I use. I have some from 6th Sense and from Rod Warrior. Both are really good.

Wife got me a dozen of the Livfishing sleeves. I was a little skeptical about the "hooks don't stick" claim but last weekend I had a crankbait come loose and stick into one - worked as advertised. I know it would have been a PITA with one of the finger traps that I used before........
She also got me several of the clear bags and six of the little zip up bags, they also have been handy.

I like the cheap Chinese finger trap ones. They fit the rod tubes on my boats. Haha.

I just bought 1 inch braided sleeve material from amazon years ago, all are still working as they should. It was really inexpensive to make them compared to buying at that time. Now you can search (rod sleeve material) on amazon and there are many really good deals. 12 sleeves for 16 bucks is a no brainer if you ask me. If I was going to replace any I would simply buy already made. I have three alternate sleeves that I found on the water over the years, and they are all very nice. The good ones have detail in the folds, and how they cut the mesh. But I can safety put way too many rods in the locker with them. But when i want to fish something specific, i just pull that setup that is already rigged out of the rod locker. Truly a must have IMO. You can buy 100 ft for 22 bucks, qnd you could make 18 rod sleeves easily (if around 5'4"). I like mine at 6ft personally, 1" braided sleeve for baitcast rods. 3" for spinning setup. But with the deals they have on amazon, doesn't hurt to save a buck.
