I had a cousin that was stationed in Del Rio in 1952 during the Korean war, He said they would go to Mexico to drink beer and do what young airmen do in Mexico.
He told me he was in a bar once and a Mexican soldier ran in there and was trying to hide from the federales.
They found him and drug him out kicking and screaming and shot him outside on the sidewalk.
My cousin asked the bartender about it and the barkeep said he was probably a deserter from the army. He said the barkeep said they would give the family 500 dollars.
He also said they would probably rather have the money anyway. Life just isn't valued in other countries like it is here. JMO

Narcofosas all over Mexico. Nothing new. Hundreds of graves containing thousands of “disappeared”.
