Headed to Conroe on Saturday for the first time ever. Please recommend a boat ramp. I will be fishing in a Tracker 175 so I am concerned about the wind forecast, so if you can get me into an area where I will be a little protected by the SE winds, that would be appreciated. Targeting LMB and will probably fish mostly with crankbaits, but I am typically a deep water worm fisherman. Just not sure how realistic that will be with the wind. Any suggestions regarding tips/tactics/areas of lake are greatly appreciated!

If I were you I'd launch at scotts ridge. Should be relatively protected from a SE wind.

That creek is where the grass is growing

Stowaway Marina and turn right after boat slips (idle to back until you know area and hazards) Good fishing this time of year

^^ Both equally great suggestions on opposite sides of the lake. Good luck

Plenty of area to fish back there and not have to do much more than an idle.

Thanks Gents! Looking like this trip is going to have to be postponed now unfortunately, but I will file this away for next time. Tight Lines!
