Apparently some kind of sick new political attacks have been happening the last few days. Basically, some person(s) are calling the cops on conservative leaders, using an untraceable phone line and telling the cops the person is killing people and/or animals in their home to get the cops to respond in hopes of getting the conservative person killed by the cops.
This country is getting to a whole new level of crazy.

this has been happening to people like tim poole and mtg for years now. i think mtg got swatted like 3 times in a couple weeks.

Bet if you did your homework, you would find more libs have been swatted than repubs.

While there are no official statistics on swatting now, a former FBI swatting expert told the Economist in 2019 that he estimated that "annual swatting incidents have climbed from roughly 400 in 2011 to more than 1,000" in 2019. More recently, a 2023 survey from a non-governmental organization dedicated to civil rights, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), found that while swatting may not be as common as other forms of online harassment—like being the target of hate speech or doxxing—teens (11 percent) report experiencing swatting more often than adults (2 percent).
