You think it's a great idea to stash right here, perfect spot, then the next day can't find it anywhere, 6 months from now will be a happy day.

Last year I got proactive and bought Valentine’s Day stuff for the wife as soon as it showed up in stores. Hid it in the garage and forgot about it. Mid February comes around and I wait until the day of and went panick buying. Found the Valentine’s Day stuff when we bought our new house in May. Wife didn’t find it as funny as I did. I’m such a dolt sometimes.

I have a very good friend who HAD a very nice Rolex that he only wore out to special occasions. He thought he should hide it so the cleaning lady didn't swipe it.

He forgot where he hid it or hid it in a pair of hunting socks that his wife might have thrown away.

Either way, that was 15 years ago.

I had stuff from myself all the time. Very rewarding though when you rediscover it !

A place for everything and everything in that place

…or I can’t find nuthin’

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

Jus put post-it notes on the fridge with locations of all the stashes.

This is one of many dreams that have been crushed over the years.

It just doesn’t make sense to the people around me….

As you get older all you have to do is lay something down and it is hidden forever and ever.

Molli does that every day with her you're-such-a-good-girl-for-peeing-in-the-grass treats. Spends several minutes walking all over the house to find the right hiding spot, then spends waaaay longer time searching for it. Then when she finds it she comes showing it to me (or DW if I'm not around) all excited and happy about having found it. I'm no dog psychologist but tell me true, Molli couldn't possibly be so stupid she'd forget where she hit the treat as soon as she hid it.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

As a teenager I hid a couple joints in the trunk of my car. If I remember correctly, I was going on a short trip and wanted to take some party supplies with me but forgot about it after my trip ended up getting cancelled. I forgot all about it for months. When I remembered, I went to grab them and couldn't find them. Always worried I'd get pulled over some day and get busted but ended up selling the car.
