Pete is one of the best to play the game, but he knew the rules when he broke them. I don't believe just becasue its now legal doesn't change what he did. I wonder do we let Shoeless Joe in to.
I hate it for him but its also a mute point since he is dead.
Do we give Tom Brady back the games he has been suspended for? I think when we reward those for breaking the rules we might as well get rid of rules all together.
What next do we get rid of hits to the head in football.
Pete played on one of the all time baseball teams and may have been the best player on that team, but he still broke the rules

Nope. He knowingly broke one of the cardinal rules of the game calling into question the integrity of the games he managed AND he agreed to the ban as part of his punishment.
