Android box connected to WiFi. Further connected to servers located who knows where. Lots of channels and local TV.

Just looked it up. $350 and reported security issues is a no go for me.

They're are several IPTV options available now. You'll want to set up a VPN.
I've looked at them a little but haven't really dived deep into them.
The option is appealing though.

Just looked it up. $350 and reported security issues is a no go for me. Basically you are watching pirated content over a VPN. It's all good until it isn't.
