What do y'all think of these?

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Some valid points against these cameras in the video. I can see where they might be of use to track criminal suspects that drive through neighborhoods, porch pirates, things like that, but it does seem to be over-reach by law enforcement

They have already been responsible for solving/apprehension of several murders here. To my knowledge they are rarely used until the higher profile threat to public safety type stuff.

What if liberals and conservatives start using these systems against each other?

Just like the DNA database that started out as a private sector good idea...This too shall turn into outsourced invasion of privacy the government will use to bypass Constitutional protections. The government allows private companies to do this and then will use the product of what the government allowed. In essence private sector funding government surveillance. My Libertarian tendencies are not liking this. It's not that I don't trust the government, well, it is because I don't trust the government.

Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

I have a customer that builds custom innocent looking camera traps and facial recognition for the gov. You would believe what is looking back at you when you are looking at it.

Gives me chills when they talk about this stuff.

one story about the entrance maps for the state fair , they built a facial recognition and geo location recorder in those. After a record number of apprehensions of wanted bad guys certain county commissioners when a a rampage about racially bias profiling at the state fair.

You watch older movies, and some of the stuff they presented as outlandish is commonplace today. There are already people with access to this information stalking their x's. It won't be long before the data is breached/hacked, if it hasn't been already.

I'm not a big fan of our continued movement towards being a surveillance state.

Probably doesn’t matter, you can’t stop progress or change the future.

If you want to see big brother at work, there's a TV show call New Orleans Homicide. They have a center called RTCC "Real Time Crime Center." They can track you, your car, etc. throughout the state.
