Anyone have a new 2022+ tundra? Yes, I know the internet has crucified them and it seems that Toyota has really stepped up to make the issues right. My son is looking to buy a brand new one next year. I have 2 5.7 tundras and they are amazing trucks. So, if you have a new one, have you had any issues? How many miles? How do you like them?

So far, so good. Bought a new '24 SR5 4x4 last August. Have almost 9k on it and my only gripe is the SHEETY tires that come on them...Falken garbage made specifically for the Tundras to Toyota's specs. They have about 1/2 the tread of a normal tire and the rubber seems very soft. If I get a year out them I will be surprised. Other than that, I love the truck. HATED to give up my '08 with the 5.7 but it developed a transmission gremlin that nobody could fix...I put a new valve body in it, that didn't resolve the problem, took it to the dealer and asked them to just put a new trans in it and they said it would take 3 months to get one it, so I gave up. All the new "nanny" tech is kind of annoying. New truck is quicker than the 5.7 ever was. LOL I really, really loved my old 5.7, but the only thing I miss about it now is the sound of the V-8. I was expecting more improvement on fuel efficiency but I'm only getting maybe 2mpg better with the V-6TT.

Most factory tires suck these days. I run em about 15k and slap new ones on.

Reason I bought the TSS version with BFG KO2s. I did not want 20" rims but not wanting to take truck straight to tire shop to swap them out. I have done that before but last time I had a use for the take offs. The ranch I hunt in NW Burnet County is pretty rough. I am old school on tires/rims. I prefer rubber over metal. After hearing about all the problems with the new trucks I am keeping my 5.7 forever. I have not looked at the 3rd gen section in Tundras.com lately so can't offer an opinion. If I was looking at 1 I would start there.

IMHO, I don't know why anybody would buy one of the new ones. The main reason you buy Toyota is for reliability and resale, and the new ones won't have either with that engine reputation.

I’m a big Toyota fan, it’s all we have. My brother bought a 23’ Tundra new, he babies his stuff, synthetic oil changes every 5k, no stop and go driving, no towing. His motor blew a month ago around 30k miles. Been sitting at the dealer ever since and they said it will be 60 more days. I’d find the nicest low mileage previous gen 5.7 Tundra if it was me.

We have one in the fleet. Had turbo problems with lots a squealing. Not exactly sure what the issue was. Covered under warranty. Other than that, been good.

I’d go with this. I have a 2013 that has been perfect. Give Toyota a couple of years to get their act together and reputation back on track. PS I got 70,000 Miles out of the original Tundra tires.

The last two generations of Tacomas had issues the first model year that were corrected in subsequent years and any first year owners were covered under warranty. Same will happen with the Tundras, I’d imagine.
It’s disappointing that Toyota has had issues with first-year models on each truck. Seems like that kind of thing didn’t happen in the past.

I have a 2023 Tundra 4X4. It will be 2 years old in May. The only problem I’ve had was the seat cracked on drivers side and they replaced it for free and took about an hour at the dealership. Only been back to the dealership for oil changes and tire rotations besides that one issue.

I think it’s the first 3 years on the new Tundras- does anyone really know if the the problem is fixed? They claim it was machining debris, seems to always get the front main bearing, it may be a design issue…
