Don't understand the fascination with Fork. Fished there several times and never caught a single fish. First guide I went out with, nothing. He even called it off early because we couldn't get any bites. Second guide had better luck, but none for me.

Best of luck where ever you wind up today. We'll be fishing vicariously through you.

You just had a run of bad luck out there. Fished with the best in the biz out there and rarely ever blanked. Each few weeks patterns will change and you adjust. We were always chasing under though. Fish move. Pretty much now till May you only need a pair of good shades, heavy rod, white craw and a full charge. Bed fishing time!

Nostalgia. For many years it was undeniably the best bass lake in the country. But age and pressure have taken their toll.

It's a good crappie lake too. What ever makes the bass big works on crappie. I have always thought Fork had the biggest population of 3 lb crappie. My biggest was only a 2.96 lb though.
